- Bell 47 engine, engine mount, engine controls & cooling fan. E: TIP 1: 47G3B1: induction hose: Check that the induction hose is not creased inside the clamp on the top of the engine basket at the rear of the transmission where it turns thru nearly 90 degrees. If it is, it may 'suck in' and restrict the flow of air to the air filter in the wrong.
The Bell 47 is a single-engine two-seat light utility helicopter produced by the US-American manufacturer Bell Aircraft Corporation, later Bell Helicopter Company, today Bell Helicopter Textron. The designation for Bell 47 is US Army duties was H-13 Sioux.
The Bell 47 was also produced under license by Agusta (Italy), Kawasaki Heavy Industries (Japan) and Westland (UK). Some special variants with enclosed cabin and fuselage are the Bell 47H (three seats) and the Bell 47J Ranger (four seats). A conversion kit with turboshaft engine (turbine) was available by Soloy.

In 1946, the Bell Model 47 became the first civil helicopter in the world to gain commercial certification. Its marked stability led to its wide acceptance for a myriad of uses, including mail service and passenger transport.
